A new chapter of community leadership begins in the San Gabriel Valley. On July 20, Michael Y. Lin, CPA, MBT, was officially sworn in as Director of Division 5 of the Walnut Valley Water District (WVWD) during a ceremonial oath of office held at the district headquarters. The ceremony brought together elected officials, community leaders, international representatives, family members, and supporters to celebrate Lin’s new role in public service.

A Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Business Taxation background, Lin said he hopes to bring his financial expertise to the district through responsible governance, careful financial management, and long-term planning to help ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality water services for residents. The Walnut Valley Water District serves the entire City of Diamond Bar and portions of Walnut, Industry, Pomona, West Covina, and the eastern unincorporated areas of Rowland Heights.
